Zuid-Holland is one of Holland's most densely populated provinces. Quite a few major events in Holland's history took place in the province of Zuid-Holland.
Zuid-Holland has a few big and/or well-known cities, like Den Haag, Rotterdam, Leiden, Delft, and Dordrecht.
Den Haag is the political center of The Netherlands, it is where our government is located.
Rotterdam is well-known for its big port. It is also the only major city without a historal centre.
Leiden and Delft are university cities, both having a city centre containing a rich historical past.
Dordrecht is known as the first official city in the history of The Netherlands.
